Outline

Supramolecular chemistry concepts have been largely exploited to produce well controlled architectures. The project aims at producing new small organic molecules capable to initiate different reaction pathways, depending of the crystallographic orientation of the surface. To get a higher control of the polymerization reaction on metal surfaces, chiral molecules will be prepared through an enantioselective synthetic route. Parallel to this, stable nitroxide derivatives are appealing candidates to create extended networks on metal surfaces and allow the access to three-dimensional structures. To access to these structures, a strong experience in total synthesis and multi-step synthesis is compulsory.

This project is developed in partnership with the Nanostructuration team of the Institut Matériaux Microélectronique et Nanosciences de Provence (IM2NP).
